The install itself isn't complicated, but it needs to be done right. You need the correct wire gauge, a properly rated breaker, and a dedicated circuit that doesn't share load with anything else. Our Process
From panel check to first charge, here's what happens.
Step 01
We check your electrical panel to confirm it has enough available amperage for a 40A or 50A circuit. We also map the route from the panel to your preferred charger location and check for any obstacles.
Step 02
We run a dedicated 240V line from your panel to the charger location using the correct gauge copper wire — typically 6 AWG for a 48A charger. Conduit is used for exposed runs or outdoor installations.
Step 03
We mount your charger at the right height and position for easy cable reach to your vehicle. Hardwired or plug-in — whichever your model requires. We test the full circuit and verify the charger communicates with your car.
Common Questions
Level 1 uses a standard 120V household outlet and adds about 3–5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 uses a 240V dedicated circuit and delivers 25–30 miles per hour. For daily driving, Level 2 means a full charge overnight instead of waiting two or three days.
Installation labor in metro Atlanta typically runs $500 to $1,500, depending on the distance from your panel and whether the panel needs a new breaker or subpanel. The charger unit itself costs $300 to $700. We give you a fixed quote upfront so there are no surprises.
A Level 2 charger needs a dedicated 240V circuit, typically 40 or 50 amps. That means a double-pole breaker, 6-gauge or 8-gauge copper wire depending on amperage, and either a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a hardwired connection. Your panel must have enough available capacity to support the new circuit.
Yes. Most Level 2 chargers are rated for outdoor use with NEMA 4 or NEMA 3R enclosures. We install weatherproof outlets and use appropriate conduit and fittings for outdoor runs. We'll position it for easy cable reach to wherever you park.
Most installations take 2 to 4 hours. If the charger location is far from your panel or we need to run conduit through finished walls, it may take a full day. We handle everything in a single visit — from breaker to first charge.
