How We Install EV Chargers

From panel check to first charge, here's what happens.

Step 01

Panel & Site Check

We check your electrical panel to confirm it has enough available amperage for a 40A or 50A circuit. We also map the route from the panel to your preferred charger location and check for any obstacles.

Step 02

Circuit & Wiring

We run a dedicated 240V line from your panel to the charger location using the correct gauge copper wire — typically 6 AWG for a 48A charger. Conduit is used for exposed runs or outdoor installations.

Step 03

Charger Mounting & Connection

We mount your charger at the right height and position for easy cable reach to your vehicle. Hardwired or plug-in — whichever your model requires. We test the full circuit and verify the charger communicates with your car.

Level 1 uses a standard 120V household outlet and adds about 3–5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 uses a 240V dedicated circuit and delivers 25–30 miles per hour. For daily driving, Level 2 means a full charge overnight instead of waiting two or three days.

Installation labor in metro Atlanta typically runs $500 to $1,500, depending on the distance from your panel and whether the panel needs a new breaker or subpanel. The charger unit itself costs $300 to $700. We give you a fixed quote upfront so there are no surprises.

A Level 2 charger needs a dedicated 240V circuit, typically 40 or 50 amps. That means a double-pole breaker, 6-gauge or 8-gauge copper wire depending on amperage, and either a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a hardwired connection. Your panel must have enough available capacity to support the new circuit.
