Yes. All JD Works electrical installations come with a 1-year labor warranty. If anything we installed fails or develops an issue within 12 months, we'll come back and fix it at no charge. Manufacturer warranties on equipment (panels, breakers, EV chargers, kitchen equipment) vary by product and are passed through to you with full documentation.
It depends on the scope. Outlet or switch replacements typically take 30–60 minutes. Ceiling fan installations run 1–2 hours. A panel upgrade is a full-day job (6–10 hours). Whole-home rewiring on an older Atlanta home can take 3–5 days. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your free estimate so there are no surprises.
For larger projects like panel upgrades, commercial kitchen build-outs, or rewiring, we can work with you on a payment arrangement. Georgia requires permits for most electrical work beyond basic replacements. Panel upgrades, new circuits, rewiring, EV charger installations, and commercial kitchen circuits all require a permit and inspection. We handle the entire permit process — pulling the permit, scheduling the inspection, and making sure everything passes. You don't have to deal with the county directly.
During an inspection, we check your panel condition and breaker integrity, test GFCI and AFCI protection, inspect visible wiring for damage or code violations, verify grounding and bonding, and test outlets and switches throughout the home. Afterward, you'll get a written summary of findings with prioritized recommendations. Most inspections take 1–2 hours depending on home size.
Clear access to your electrical panel — move any boxes, shelving, or storage that blocks it. If we're working in specific rooms, clear furniture away from the walls where outlets or switches are located. Make sure someone 18 or older is home during the work. We'll need to shut off power to parts of your home during the job, so charge your devices beforehand and plan accordingly.
